As with so many houses built in the 1920s, it's the driveway that is almost always the last thing to be upgraded. So, PGS relished the chance to tear up an old and very dated existing driveway and replace it with a beautiful and very stylish stretcher-design brick drive in Autumn Gold bricks with a charcoal-coloured brick border. The drive also incorporates a discreet area for wheelie bins and a small footpath under the bay window.
With the ever increasing market for new and improved ideas in landscaping, PGS Construction and Landscapes use an inventive and completely new system that has only just been brought to the landscaping industry. It can be tailored not just to driveways but also to patios. This is block paving's answer to imprinted concrete that gives a more natural finish and durability. We also planted a beautiful 7ft high laurel hedge.
The client required a natural sandstone setts to replace their old and tired tarmac driveway. We also installed lockable posts to prevent the theft of the client's vehicles.
The client requested a partial landscaping which involved the removal of old, worn fencing, replacement with closeboard fencing of graduated height and the laying of a new lawn to turf. Old stone slabs were lifted and relaid onto concrete to enlarge an existing patio and paviours were added to create an attractive pattern. A small retaining wall was constructed around a flowerbed with access steps for easy weeding.
